(1) We are happy to inform you that Bhaktivedanta Institute is organizing a unique Essay Competition entitled, ‘Humility in Science and Spirituality’ which is aimed at nurturing the important virtue of humility in students which will help them all through their life — from their academic career to their tomorrow’s workplace. As Newton, one of our founding fathers of science expressed tremendous humility in his famous statement,
“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”

The Essay Competition is free of charge and winners will be awarded cash prizes, medals and certificates during the conference, though it is an independent event. Details here.
(2) Secondly, we are also pleased to announce our next annual students’ Conference on Science and Spiritual Quest (AISSQ 2014) being held at IIT BHU from Feb 1-2, 2014, where a myriad of scientists, Nobel Laureates, academicians, students and research scholars from all over the country and abroad will participate.
We hereby invite you to participate in the Essay competition and our upcoming conference. We also request you to kindly forward this message and encourage all the students and others of your institution to heartily participate in the events. All institutions are also invited to nominate 20 students and 5 faculties from their institution for the conference. Please do let us know if you need print copies of both the posters for display in your institution; in that case, kindly send us your postal address with your request.
